The Historic Harrison Guest House was built in1942 and is the place that black entertainers, businessmen, and couples seeking a divorce were allowed to stay in Las Vegas during the era of segregation.
ZION UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The Zion United Methodist Church is the oldest black church in Nevada. It was founded in 1917 with only 14 members. And, up until 1945 is had the only African American congregation in Las Vegas. Learn More
